This coach will have the opportunity to inspire and work with student-athletes ages 3-20, ranging from recreational to high-level nationally ranked players and collegiate level players.

About the Position:
The Tennis Coach will instruct groups or individual players in the fundamentals of tennis for VTM Lorenzi Racquet Club, LLC.

The Academy operates in partnership with the Inspiring Children Foundation and the #1 tennis team in history, Bob & Mike Bryan, to create the elite TEAM BRYAN training and travel team. The NO QUIT Tennis Academy has helped develop (12) #1 ranked juniors in the US, (18) that were ranked top 5, and over (50) that have been ranked top 25 in the USA. (5) have professional rankings, with the highest being 8 in the world. To date, the academy has placed over 220 student athletes into college on scholarship.
Our Academy is led by NCAA Champion, and USTA High Performance Coach of the year, Tim Blenkiron. The Academy’s high performance training system includes a whole human approach to physical, emotional and mental training that has helped him coach at the highest levels. Apart from developing countless nationally ranked players, Tim has coached WTA tour players Eugenie Bouchard and Asia Muhammad. As Vegas Rollers WTT Head Coach, Tim has coached Bob & Mike Bryan, Monica Puig, Sam Querrey, Danielle Collins and more. Tim is a former President of the United States Tennis Association’s Intermountain Section and USTA Nevada. He is also the co-creator of the USTA Foundation’s Excellence Team concept, and received USTA national’s highest volunteer and impact award for his efforts. Our TEAM BRYAN Excellence Team program is a best-in-class example and showcase of youth development and education that is being studied and duplicated in twenty-two cities in partnership with the USTA Foundation.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Educates individuals, groups, or teams on the rules, strategies, and techniques for tennis.
Plans, organizes, and leads practice sessions.
Trains, encourages, and motivates athletes to prepare them for games and competitive events.
Teaches safety rules and regulations and ensures they are enforced.
Develops physical conditioning programs that equip athletes to meet their potential.
Evaluates team members to determine fitness levels and potential; assigns positions or roles to athletes based on strengths and weaknesses.
Ensures athletes are using equipment properly and safely.
Identifies the strengths and weaknesses of players and modifies coaching strategies accordingly.
Remains current on changes in rules, coaching philosophies and techniques, and technology relevant to tennis.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
Extensive knowledge of tennis.
Ability to work with student athletes.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
2+ years of experience as an athletic coach preferred.
5+ years being involved in the sport of tennis as a player or enthusiast preferred.
USPTA or equivalent required.
Up-to-date Safe Play Certification required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities.
Prolonged periods of standing or walking.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Extended work hours (10 – 12 hrs/day) may be required due to attendance at and participation in networking and industry functions that begin early and extend into the evening.
